For the Sojourners and the Remnants
You Worthy, Chosen, & Set Apart
What is a Sojourner?
Sojourn definition: A short stay or visit.
In the Biblical sense, a sojourner is someone who is on earth for a temporary amount of time. This C.S. Lewis quote defines the mindset of a sojourner perfectly: “If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world.”
“Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh which wage war against your soul (1 Peter 2: 11, English Standard Version).

What is a Remnant?
Remnant Definition: A small remaining quantity of something.
In the Bible, the remnants were a small group of people who remained faithful to God despite the hardship and turmoil that surrounded them.
“So too at the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace” (Romans 11:5, ESV).
“Then I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven the, and I will bring them back to their fold, and they shall be fruitful and multiply” (Jeremiah 23:3, ESV).

My hope for this blog is that it would bring a sense of acceptance and relatability. You are not alone. God has created you in His image for such a time as this. You are His workmanship, chosen by grace.
